Gillig Low Floor Bus

Gillig low floor bus was presented to the public, in the 1990's. This bus was difficult for competitors to beat and it lowered the floor for transit riders. The Gillig Low Floor bus began with the performance of the Phantom and also incorporated the more recent requirements, technologies and needs that were needed to create a prizewinning bus that seemed to be a favorite. It's called a fleet workhorse and has a great reputation among customers. This bus is very serviceable, reliable and a lot more accessible than some competitors.

For easier service and safety, neat ideas are incorporated including, quick change side skirt panels and impact crash barriers on the sides of the bus. The Low Floor Gillig bus has construction grade stainless steel chassis for better strength and preventing corrosion. Helping to reduce weight and preventing corrosion, an aluminum body is added. It sports the latest electronic controls and is very reliable and efficient.

The Gillig Low Floor has the widest front aisle and a lot of wheelchair access room in the front vestibule. Tested and confirmed by Altoona, the Low Floor bus design is the most efficient, serviceable, reliable and has the best performance, it is very quiet, economy friendly and has great grade ability. This bus is definitely a customer pleaser.

It is available in 30', 35', and 40' lengths and the width comes in 102''. Both drivers and people riding along will be happy with the wide stance suspension, big access doors, and logical layout. This bus is available in many different arrangements including a shuttle, airport and suburban, transit and is also in BRT and Hybrid variants.

The 29 Footers overall length is 30' and overall height is 115''. The turning radius on this bus is 29' and it can seat a maximum of 28 people.

The 35 Foot Low Floor Bus has an overall length of 36', turning radius of 36', overall height of 116'' and a seating max of 32.
