This page from my master list of all Las Vegas articles I wrote while developing Vanabode as the best travel vehicle for cheap easy long term road trips.

Flamingo Hotel Review Las Vegas

The Flamingo Hotel delivers world-class talent with George Wallace and Tony Braxton. There are 15 acres of pools and live habitat for outdoor fun. Eight restaurants from Margaritaville to Ventuno for dining. Flamingo has kept its history so you can participate in it, not just see it. Insider Secret - There are lots of room options here. If you are not staying in the parking lot in your Vanabode and want to go big with a room, review them carefully. We recommend upgrading to a Go room or suite. The views can be breathtaking. Also the monorail stops at the Flamingo Hotel. It will take you to the Las Vegas Convention Center in minutes.

Gangster Bugsy Siegel's original Vegas hotel became the Flamingo Las Vegas and thank goodness they still have that fantastic old world style curly pink signage to remind us all how fast this world of pleasure has changed. I personally love the pool scene here at Flamingo and I think for the money this strip front hotel with its tropical big watery play ground is a great value. Live a little. The action at Flamingo in the casino is definitely some of the liveliest in Vegas. They stick to the old formula which is pack 'em in and get the drinks to you as fast as you can drink 'em. This is the heart of old Vegas in contrast to the orderly, stately Caesar's Palace, Bellagio and Venetian.

Ventuno is a nice, upscale Italian restaurant. It has personal pizzas and tasty seafood. It's a romantic place to bring your date or celebrate your anniversary. In a rowdy mood, get over to Margaritaville. It's one of the very few places that's right on the Strip. We just love the Caribbean food and the drinks and the incredible party atmosphere. It's one of the best and it really puts you in the spirit of Vegas. Flamingo has one of the very best locations in Vegas. This landmark, photogenic casino is the absolute origin and blueprint for all casinos in Vegas.

Truly you have arrived at the center of Vegas. Everything is in place for an electrifying, memorable experience. Let your eye wander over the glitz and glamour and you will see you're standing among the giants, Caesar's, Mirage, Bellagio and the Paris.

Want to stay at the hotel with the best pools and Jacuzzi in Vegas? The pink bird has 15 acres of sprawling tropical complex with winding pools, water slides, pool-side blackjack and any drink you can think of. It's comparable to the pool area at Mandalay Bay.

Spend some time choosing your room. Due to the renovations over the years there are lots of types to choose from in the Flamingo Hotel review Las Vegas. There are electronic kiosks for checking in and out. Always book 6 months in advance for holidays. Flamingo delivers top notch talent with George Wallace, Tony Braxton and Second City Comedy. There's even one of the best afternoon shows in Vegas: Society of Seven.

Lush tropical gardens surrounded by towering 2-3 story thundering waterfalls flowing into crystal clear beach like swimming pools and hot tubs make this a great place to escape anything, your troubles back home, buffet aches, or the noise and clamor of the active casino floor just a minutes walk away. Many rooms have decent strip views completely lit up at night. The bathrooms were tight but clean, rooms smelled good, and decorated nicely.

Besides Ballys, Flamingo is one of the few hotels to have tennis courts. The Flamingo is right in the heart of an active young oriented casino street scene where people watching is unrivaled. Being this close to the other big mega casinos and hotels means you can walk to them, check them out during the day enjoying a lot of what other tourists are paying for. Then come back to your great well priced room and sweet pool when you need a rest.

Our experience staying at the Flamingo was excellent. From the enthusiastic bell person to the room service they were eager to please. There is plenty of friendly, well-trained staff.

Give the staff a challenge when you want something special. This is Vegas; you'll be surprised at what you can get. Each floor has a room captain who's responsible for every detail. Rooms are large and clean. They often have overstuffed Flamingo pink chairs. Cute. The pink bird was pretty much the blueprint for Vegas. Fabulous location with your fabulous Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas Reservation.
